Standard shelving sits on the floor and uses vertical space through stacked shelf levels. A raised storage platform (mezzanine) creates an entirely new floor level above your existing workspace, effectively doubling your usable square meterage.

This comes down to your concrete floor’s load-bearing capacity, available ceiling height, and the structural condition of your building. As a general guide, you’ll need enough clearance above and below the platform for safe operation, typically a minimum of 2.4 metres on each level.
